Today I wondered what Venice might look like, in the dead of the night.  When all the tourists have taken the last train out of Santa Lucia and when all the cities workers have gone to Mestre for half the rent.  There might be a few monied up couples holding hands, looking at the putrid brown water of the canals or some old man who refuses to give in to the arthritis and move to somewhere with less walking and less stairs, as his family has often begged him.

Today I wondered what I would be doing in Venice 2 months from now…

Oh, to call Venice my home and tourists my neighbours, again.

Sometimes when I’m faced with a multitude of possibilities, I go a little crazy.

At this very moment, I’m working on 3 separate blogs and lines are starting to blur into each other.

I started this blog to document a 9-month trip to Europe on exchange.  I suppose I wanted to secure the URL because I don’t remember why else I’d have set it up so early.  So anyway here I am with three different blogs (http://aestheticcollective.blogspot.com/; http://paperfolly.tumblr.com/)

I’m going to get my wires uncrossed and from now on… will only post Europe-bound things here.
